Happy St. Patty’s Day!
This St. Patty’s Day is quite different for me, primarily because I won't be drinking any alcohol. Why, you might wonder? Well, 11 days ago, I embarked on my first-ever detox. I'm sharing my experience today because I'm genuinely surprised at how fantastic I feel after just 11 days on this remarkable program. I'm not promoting the product—this is simply an honest review. The truth is, anyone can detox, but many of us aren't sure how, and most give up after a few challenging days. This program is truly easy to follow.
I'm currently participating in Standard Process's 21-day purification program. This well-established company has been in operation since 1929. They are a "Whole Foods" supplement company, which means they prioritize using the highest quality ingredients in their products.
Do yourself a favor and follow this program. I truly am amazed at my personal results at this time. Below are a few of the basic’s of the program…
1.Avoid all proteins for first 10 days(Today is Day 11…I’m excited to get some healthy lean meat into my diet again) After 10 days, you can use select proteins(primarily fish and lean meat).
3. Eat whole, organic(if you can), unprocessed foods…twice as many vegetables to fruit…but as much as you want…
4. Take whole food supplements(this is what your paying for)
5. Drink PLENTY of water
6. Lentils or Wild/Brown Rice (1-2 servings a day)
7.Oils-high quality(coconut oil, extra-virgin olive, fish, flax, Grape Seed)
8. Refrain from Consuming or Using-ALCOHOL, CAFFEINE, TOBACCO—PLEASE TAPER OFF THIS BEFORE YOU START….I had a nice headache for about a day and half…just mild though. I was a huge coffee drinker.
9. Refrain from consuming or using-NUTS/SEEDS, DAIRY, GRAINS(except wild or brown rice), Processed or refined foods
CERTAINLY: ALWAYS CONSULT WITH YOUR HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONAL BEFORE FOLLOWING THIS PROGRAM.
Supplements Provided are as follows:
SP Complete: for shakes…provides amino acids, essential fatty acids, and other vitamins to support intestinal, muscular, and immune health.
SP Cleanse: supplements…containing whole foods and botanicals that help the body’s purifying organs–kidneys, liver, and intestines.
Whole Food Fiber–add to the shakes
SP Green Food–supplements…contains organically grown whole food concentrates from brussel sprouts, kale, alfalfa, buckwheat, and barley grass.
You’re probably asking…How do you feel about it so far???
So far I have experienced the following…
10 days in:
Lost 6 pounds so far (Started at 221)
Sleeping Great!… I get at least 7 hours and I’m out like a light…WARNING…Deep REM sleep with lots of Dreaming…
I don’t wake up in the morning needing to have a pot of coffee before heading to work in the morning.
Clearer Mind…I’m able to get more things done…
Increased positive mental attitude(PMA)—You are what you eat!
Regular Bowel Functions (This was a worry…as most people need that coffee in the morning..haha)
More Energy!!!!!!!
I won't lie... the first three days were quite challenging. I had strong cravings for food, coffee, and, naturally, a drink at night after a tough day. However, after day three, it became much easier. I always carry some vegetables or fruit with me—bags of baby carrots are particularly helpful as they're easy to transport. My shakes typically include the provided supplements, along with a banana, frozen blueberries, frozen raspberries, frozen strawberries, and a scoop of my own high-quality Whey Protein Isolate. Most days, I've managed to avoid having lentils and rice, which I needed more at the start. Now that meat is back in the program, I expect it will only get easier.
If you're seeking a fresh and effective way to alter your daily eating habits, shed some pounds, or simply...FEEL BETTER! I highly recommend this program. It might transform your life!! I will share another update next week when I'm nearing the end of the program or have just completed it.
Cheers(with a protein shake), and Happy St. Patty’s!
